Conference Abstract: While the fashion industry still lags behind most other manufacturing businesses in adoption of 3D printing, recent strides in 2023 mark a turning point. Luxury brands Christian Dior and Louis Vuitton released fully 3D printed footwear, 3D curriculum is proliferating rapidly at every major fashion school, and interest among emerging designers in leveraging 3D printing for garment and accessory creation are indicative of this seismic shift.

Globally, as fashion and luxury brands look to create exciting new products and solve their problems related to overproduction and sustainability there is a renewed interest in additive manufacturing.

In this presentation, we'll delve into recent innovations, burgeoning consumer awareness, and the horizon of opportunities in additive manufacturing within the realms of fashion, jewelry, and wearables.
